About me
Andy is a coach at heart. Beginning his youth development career in Chicago as a nature camp counselor, Andy has worked in affordable housing, after school programming, and lots and lots of coach training. He currently works as the Lead Director of Learning at Urban Initiatives in Chicago supporting professional development for coaches, teachers, parents, and anyone else connecting with kids in a skill-building context. Previously with national coaching and educational organizations, Andy is excited to focus his energy on building a culture of coaching in Chicago. Outside of work, Andy is an experienced coach in soccer and ultimate frisbee, where he recently won his third World Junior Ultimate Championship as an assistant coach with Team USA's u20 boys team this summer in Birmingham, England. In all of these spaces, Andy focuses on creating transformative learning opportunities for learners of all kinds.
