About me
Thirty-three years ago, Jeff began his career as a high school teacher and baseball coach at Driscoll Catholic High School in Addison, Illinois. During his ten years at Driscoll, he taught History and coached Varsity Baseball earning an impressive career record of 251 wins and 102 loses including state championships for the Highlander's in 1994 and 1997. Notably, fifty-six of his players went on to compete collegiately and five professionally. After retiring from coaching, Jeff began teaching Social Studies at Wauconda Middle School in Wauconda, Illinois. While at Wauconda, he earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University. In 2005, Jeff was hired as an Assistant Principal at Stanton School for District 114 in Fox Lake, Illinois and four years later was named Principal. Jeff has the distingued honor of being named the Lakes Region Assistant Principal of the Year and Principal of the Year and he has served as a new principal mentor--sharing his many years of experience, knowledge, and leadership philosphy. He is currently in his 20th year at Stanton and has become passionate about understanding childhood trauma and the impact adverse childhood experiences have on his students. Jeff is a certified Trauma Informed and Resilience Specialist and Coach. At the completion of the 2024-2025 school year Jeff will retire as Stanton's Principal, but is looking forward to sharing his knowledge and experiences with educators across the country.
